I first started reading about Camp David in 1964-65 when I was working for the Associated Press various times 0f the year from Lancaster, OH to Huntington, WVA to Ashland, KY to Utica, NY. I scanned hundreds of stories about the presidents and their families, to visitors to the camp,  add to that a web site that offered lots of details about the activities at Camp David called Camp David Tour Presidential Retreat and the outstanding Presidential Libraries which permitted me to put graphics to the words. It was hours of work daily for better than fourteen years broken up by illness including a near death episode that nearly finished me. But the Lord enabled me to finish it and provide you with a partial look at the cost of running a huge government.

It’s a look inside at how governments run on idle. My thanks to Helen and Bill King who explained the incredible and the serious problem with letting computers run government. I am interested in your thoughts about government out of control. Write to me at jbehrens@roadrunner.com
